With spectacular views across the West of the Isle of Wight The Dairyman's Cottage at Tapnell Farm is an ideal location for a relaxing getaway with friends or family.
Our Isle of Wight holiday cottage sits among several carefully renovated barns and two working dairy farms. The farm (tours available) will give you an insider's view to life in the countryside. You may also recognise that Tapnell overlooks the site of the 1970 Isle of Wight pop festival, a beautiful location at the foot of the grassy downland and in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The farm has views stretching out towards Freshwater Bay, and also the Solent. Tapnell Farm is ideally situated for those who enjoy stretching their legs and exploring one of the many walking trails the Island has to offer.
We are only a short drive from various award winning beaches and quaint seaside towns offering delicious eateries and quirky shops you will never run out of things to do...
Roam the farm, or explore the Island..
Our farm has over 300 cows, and we milk twice a day - come and see how it all works. Or why not visit our calves in the maternity barn, and whilst you are out and about you may even witness one being born!
Every year we take on a few orphaned lambs and hand rear them when their mothers from local farms can no longer look after them. They become popular additions to the farm each year (from April) and you can help us feed them, or just have a cuddle!
We also have a hen caravan full of happy retired ex-battery hens. They are loving the good life, and if you are lucky they may lay you an egg or two.
